About the local area

If the temperate climate of Pembrokeshire doesn't live up to expectation, the large wood burning stove, the full Sky package, broadband and gym facilities, will leave some wishing for grey skies. Acclaimed by The National Geographic Magazine, as  the second best coastal destination in the entire world, Narberth lies just six miles from Amroth with its vast Blue Flag beach and just nine miles from the medieval walled town of Tenby and its golden sandy beaches. With the town and beaches od Saundersfoot and Wiseman's Bridge nestled between these destinations, coastal adventure is conveniently abundant. But the intriguing, multi coloured, small town of Narberth is a place that many love to explore. In the past ten years it's grown to become the arts and crafts capital of Pembrokeshire and with an increasing array of unique independent shops, it's gaining a reputation as one of the best shopping destinations in Wales. Boutiques, galleries, antique shops and fine food retailers make retail therapy addictive for all..... it's certainly a fantastic place to find those original Christmas gifts. The cafe bar within Ultracomeda, the delicatessen on the high street, serves wines and lunches that can't be missed, a great spot for refuelling. In fact the town offers a vast array of good quality dining options from national award winning butchery to exquisite fine dining. The September, Narberth Food Festival serves up another gastronomic delight, showcasing the rich and diverse produce farmed in Pembrokeshire, it brings thousands of foodies to the town to enjoy the impressive line up of international culinary talent, the vast array of specialist food stalls and the variety of street entertainment. Annual events are commonplace, Spring time sees Narbeth's Big Plant Sale and the opportunity to stock up from amateur and professional exhibits. July sees Civic week, culminating in the renowned Narberth Carnival and September witnesses the international competitors of the gruelling Ironman competition passing through the streets. While events are rounded off with the Winter Carnival, The Queen's Hotel provides an array of entertainment all year round, hosting many live bands, plays, comedy and concerts. This unique town really does offer something for everyone! Whether in search of memorable boat trips, pony trekking across the sands or the horrors of Oakwood Theme Park at Halloween, South Pembroke provides it all and much much more besides. But whatever the event, whatever the adventure, whatever the season, returning to Hampton Court, you can't fail to appreciate the comfort and convenience it offers. Easy access to so much, yet tucked away from the bustling tourist trail, Hampton Court provides the perfect place for whatever holiday you wish to create.
